Gen One and Gen Two Astrodon filters

Hello All,

I am considering an upgrade in my filter setup at present and have a query regarding the difference between gen 1 and gen 2 astrodon 1.25 inch RGB filters.

I have managed to find some Gen 1 filters for a very reasonable price but i believed that they suffered from reflection issues particularly on larger filters. I am getting them for my new ASI1600 camera and they will predominantly be used on a 102mm f7 APO refactor.

I have the budget to get the Gen 2's (which are very much more expensive) but it would mean forgoing other equipment i am also looking at getting (see http://optecinc.com/astronomy/catalo...lock/19860.htm) It would also mean getting a 5nm astrodon HA filter rather then the 3nm.

So what is the general opinion are the reflections on this setup going to be an issue? Colour balance? parfocal issues?

Your kind guidance and wisdom would be welcome. Failing that i will also accept snide remarks about the weather.
