NGC 4945, Keep digging!

Trying to improve my PA resulted in taking a few test shots. It seems that I can get 30 secs now which is still pretty bad, but useable.

NGC 4945 was near were I was testing so I took a few quick subs and they looked quite yuk and noisy at ISO 8000 but they cleaned up surprisingly well after stacking 20. Always amazes me what you can find if you keep digging!

8" f5 newt, Sony a5100, 20x 30 second subs at ISO 8000.

Astrobin link Here.

Thanks for looking!

Cheers
Jo

Awesome shot Jo! I've discovered a lot can be done with 30 second subs. Especially if you have a lot of them.

Thanks,

Processing takes a lot of practice. I have been doing a lot of it for around 3 years now and am only just now feeling like I know where to start. I treat each image as pretty much as a process of elimination. Identify what in your image you don't want and find a way to get rid of it.

It is sometimes hard to know what 'good' looks like, but watching the masters in the Deep Sky section is the best way I have found to get a visual picture of what you are working towards.

If I can help in any way with a particular image of yours I would be happy to.

Cheers
Jo
