Lightbulb 20% Moon w/ Earthshine

Here is a high dynamic range combination I came up with using two sets of 20 exposures (total 40 exposures). One set for the earth shine side and one for the sun shine side.

Taken from my backyard in Byron Bay NSW, Australia Jan 24 with a Celestron 9.25″ SCT w/ Focal Reducer (6.3) and Canon 70D. Backyard EOS, AutoStakkert & PS6 software used for capture and post processing.

I can't quite believe it but my photo was featured on NASAs Astronomy Picture of the Day on the equinox!

Humbled and amazed! Thanks to IIS space community also for all your help as I find my feet.

Congratulations Dylan. This is an iconic image reminiscent of some artistic impressions of the 1960's and 70's of other worlds. Well done!
