Will this 8" dobsonian keep me entertained for years

Hi all I currently have a 3" Newtonian reflector I get good shots of the moon but the stand is shacky and hard to see further things really well. I don't have a lot of money and have found this 8" dob telescope.
I'll paste the link below. I just want to know will this keep me entertained viewing other plants nice colours cluster and nebulas or will I just want to upgrade to a bigger on in a month like I have with my 3"
I know 10" is great but I can't afford $900 but the $500 8" inch I could get in a month or so. Any feedback would be great

This scope will knock the socks off your 3". Saying that, you mentioned colours. Colours are hard to see, some colours show up on the planets, but for deep sky objects other than the planetary nebula and some stars, most objects are too faint to activate your colour receptors in your eye. Nevertheless and 8" dob in my opinion is the ideal beginners scope.
The seller of this is OzHut who trade as OzScopes (they often have an ad on this forum) haven't dealt with myself so cannot comment on them as retailers. Others worth checking are Bintel and Andrews communications.

Adrian if you contact the mornington peninsula astro society a member has an 10" dob second hand for ~$350 I think
Could be a good opportunity to join too considering you are down the road from the observing site.
