Setting Moon

Hi,
took a lot of shots of the moon late last night using my new ED80 on a very wobbly stand - I know, I'm saving up for a goto - any suggestions? (or maybe I should ask that in equipment discussion)
Anyway, this is one of my favourites.
Canon 350D/ED80
ISO 400
6 sec exposure
Shot has only been cropped, no processing.

Michael, what do you call a wobbly stand?

I use my ED80 on an EQ1 (some people shudder) and track with the little battery powered motor box (more people shudder). The EQ1 and motor box is a total of $170!!! I am happy with the results from this set-up so far.

For such a despised set-up for astrophotography I am getting fairly good results.

A wobbly stand is my el cheapo camera stand, it can support the weight of the ED80 but little else.

I like the fact that you managed to catch the 'lower' cusp as it was just about to disappear.

By the way - is that cloud or a bank of fog that is obscuring the moon?
