Vela SNR

Vela Supernova Remnant - Gum 13 (I think) in Canistra Bicolour

Just 8x900 Ha and 5 x 900 OIII - needs heaps more data of course, especially more OIII and probably some RGB stars

I had in mind another more Northern target but it was behind a tree and my mount was already polar aligned from the previous session imaging in the LMC. I didn't want to start over with another PA so I had my first crack at this - it's waaaay too large for my FOV but it's a fascinating object.

High res here... http://www.astrobin.com/141459/

Thanks for looking.
