illuminated reticle for aligning

Is this ok for aligning or a typical cross hair reticle better to buy?

You need a standard double cross hairs one. The illustrated one is mainly for measuring double stars. 12.5mm is a good one.

Yes something like the Orion 12.5mm double illuminated reticle is the way to go. Makes centering a cinch.
