Tarantula Nebula

After weeks of endless cloud, Melbourne finally came good with the weather last night. With the ambient temperature dropping below zero and ice eventually forming on my laptop screen I went ahead undeterred. :-)

I decided it was time to pay old 30 Doradus a visit, having only attempted briefly to capture this target some time ago with lackluster results. Coming away with 25 x 5 minute subs, I expect that this data will undergo a few revisions yet but overall I am fairly happy with what I managed to achieve with my equipment.

Nothing done with the data apart from stack and stretch.

Thanks for taking a look!

Colours are a bit muted but a very respectable result!
