NGC 5068 work in progress

Hi all,

This has been my filler image the last couple of nights while waiting for my primary target to rise. Believe it or not I am capturing RGB data ... whether that data turns in to a LRGB picture remains to be seen!

This is:
12 x 600s
ST8-XME
12" SCT @ 2180mm / f/7.4
0.84"/pixel
100% full image.

Excellent, I love it when you find things Roger ...we'll get the supernova hunter out of you yet

BTW there is a very cool edge on galaxy NGC 5084 just near this one, I did a shot of the pair last year with the big 16803 on the AG12.

Thanks Mike I did something like 20,000 images for SN discovery and gave up temporarily returning to more rewarding pursuits

I'll take a look at 5084

Nice find Roger. There are lots of southern galaxies to be highlighted.
