Smile UO 2" barlow - it's back!! - with a new name...

I don't know if this is old news but I only just learned that the terrific University Optics 2" barlow, which Dave reviewed for us but UO sadly decided to discontinue soon after, appears to have been resurrected under the Orion brand. Check out the Orion Deluxe barlows. There is a 1.25" as well that looks very attractive!

The comments about the internal baffling are not just a gimmick. The baffling works extremely well and the 2" version of the barlow is certainly exceptional at keeping unwanted reflections and stray light out of the light path.

There are at least a couple of dealers selling them in Oz...

janoskiss,

I have found the Orion deluxe advertised at Sirius Optics - which other dealers are advertising it in Oz (nothing like being able to get comparative prices).

Around the same time Dave sold his dob along a number of televue eyepieces and bought a mak, so it was nothing to do with performance.
