Photos in this Subforum

Wow!!! Some of the photos here are really amazing. Are you really "beginners" or do you just mean you are amateur astronomers, that is to say not professional? To me these photos look all great!

For what it's worth, I only started doing this for the first time 18 months ago, so I still regard myself as a beginner, especially compared to the skilled and experienced contributors in the deep space photo section.

Hi Ozstargazer,

Another beginner here too. Yes the images do look great dont they. I have to put MY success(which isnt much compared to others) down to the equipment/software available today. Just makes it sooo much easier to get a good result. And the great help everyone on here is so willing to supply.
I'm sure the skill level of others is the reason for their great images, not the equipment.

Cheers

+1 for both comments, I also started 18 months ago and am having a ball with this hobby I've always been interested in photography and this just grew off that slowly with time. Perhaps the only reason I got so involved is because of this forum

I'm going to be a beginner for the next 20 years I think . So far I've only managed to image a handful of the brighter objects like m42 and eta Carina.

Baby steps...
