Little Bushnell 16x32 binoculars

Hi all , I was in the local camping shop here in Perth this morning to grab a few things as we are going camping this weekend and I spotted these on a shelf behind the teller .
These were the last pair and a new model was arriving so these were only $40 down from $99 so I asked for a look and these are very solid little binoculars , rubber armoured , fully multy coated optics that are very sharp , centre focus with the right eyepiece adjustable ( like real ones ) , 12mm eye relief , 3mm exit pupil , strap , leatherette carry case , obligagitory cleaning cloth and instructions in good English !! A BONUS THERE !.

I took these down to 'Safety bay' for a look thru and was really impressed with the clarity of the views , even tho there was a sea haze evident .
I will have a go tonight using these and report back as soon as I can .,.

All in all a sweet buy for well made 16x32mm roof prisim binoculars .
I am very happy so far .

Does any body have/use small binos like these for astronomy ? it will be good to see how these perform on the night sky .

Oh yes they have a lifetime warranty , not bad at all .

Brian.

Well I got up at 2am this morning and took the 16x32 out for a look-see .
Orion was very nice about the same as a 60mm scope , trapezium hinted at .
Both large and small clouds very clear with 47Tuc a fairly bright cotton ball and the Tarantula nebula easily seen .
M45 was very well framed with stars focused to the edge , nice view .
M41 beside Sirius was lovely , contrasted well against Sirius .
A little colour seen on Sirius , but not to bad .
Jupiters moons easily seen , but no bands seen .

All in all nice little binos for the glove box of the car for those times when you are out without a scope and they take up no room at all .
I am happy for $40 .

Brian.

Great little gem there, Brian. Can't beat the price for a quick glove box binos.
