First time posting photos here, so here's a smattering of my better shots.
All (with the exception of the third moon photo, it was taken with an iPhone camera) were taken through an 8" LX200 with a Nikon D3000.
First three are of the over-saturated moon, to bring out the various mineral deposits (there's just something about seeing the moon with colour on it).
Fourth is of the Jewel Box Cluster taken at ISO 1600, single 30" sub.
Fifth is Comet PANSTARRS just a few days before its perihelion. Combination of two 15" and 5" subs to bring out detail around the coma.
Thank you Trevor, the Jewel box was the result of many frustrating hours trying to get a non streaky image (D3000 in not an ideal camera as I've discovered).
Also, I've found the camera on an iPhone is surprisingly handy when it comes to lunar and solar photography.
