Planetary Conjunction, Red Dead Redemption Style

Imaged from Tucson, AZ.
Oh boy, you wouldn't believe how huge those Saguaro cacti are. We'd passed a fallen one the night before. 3 meters of it on the ground, with the other 3 meters of it still standing. (that is a small one btw, it was just a spear)
To get this shot I had to climb the hill late in the afternoon. Being mindful of centipedes and scorpions. The rocks were all treacherously loose and there were many many cactus of all sizes to dodge. I felt as if I were in the middle of playing Red Dead Redemption!!
What took me 15 minutes to climb in twilight to 3 times as long to climb down when fully dark. madness, pure madness.
The camera data says....
Canon 550D, ISO100, F8, 1.4sec shutter speed.

Nice one J-nettie, really mixing with the stars I see. Carolyn Porco, one of the great planetary scientists, I still remember her interviews when she was in charge of the imaging team on Cassini.
