Forum Posting Guidelines Announced

Hi all.

The moderation team and I have come up with a set of guidelines that we all should adhere to when posting here at IceInSpace.

You can read the guidelines at the top of each forum, or here's a link for you if you get lost.

The guidelines are for everyone's benefit and to ensure we keep the family feel and friendly atmosphere we have here, as we continue to grow.

We're happy to hear your feedback or suggestions on these, please reply here if you have any comments.

Thanks for your support.

Nice guidlines Mike, better written than the draft. I think that makes it clear what is expected from everyone.

I have no problems with trying to follow those "guidelines"
But seriously, I think all the important points have been covered in those guidelines. It will certainly help to continue making this forum a friendly & informative community for us all.

Sounds fair to me.

Interesting how you set Point 1 at 15.

1. It can be expected that children as young as 15 may visit the forums. Please don't post material that would not be appropriate for a 15 year old.

My 8 & 11 y.o. sons read these forums too. They love David's Cow!

No racial slurs will be tolerated.
Not even about Martians who're coming in 5 days (sorry, now 4 days) to conquer the Earth and enslave the human race?

Avoid topics about race, politics or religion.
That last one could get tricky as the membership list grows. Cosmology and religion share some common fundamental goals, such as finding out where we come from and where we're going.
