I have the complete set of 20, of the Aubrey/ Maturin novels by Patrick O'Brian.
Bought these new, one at a time 23 years ago.Have re-read them a number of times. Now its time to past them on to anyone who loves the sea.
This series by Patrick O'Brian, and which the film Master and Commander directed by Peter Weir is based on, are regarded as some of the finest books ever written of the sea.
This set has traveled to Heard Island with the 2000 Antarctic Expedition.
A couple of them are somewhat dog eared, but complete.
