Charles Geschke, Adobe cofounder, co-inventor of PostScript & PDF, dies at 81

Charles Geschke, who along with John Warnock, founded Adobe and
created the PostScript page description language as their first product,
has died at age 81.

If you have ever opened or created a PDF document, you have used something that Geschke co-created.

Originally at Xerox PARC, he and Warnock developed Interpress, a page-description
language that could be used to control the company’s laser printers.
Unable to convince Xerox management of the commercial value of
Interpress, the two left the company to start Adobe.
