TBH, when you look at the map of everything that is currently in orbit, it's a miracle it hasn't happened already. The systems they have in place to stop everything colliding must be mind-blowing. It's not a job I'd want to have.


I suppose that's also why the starlink satellites are smart from that point of view - a multi node network that can still function if some nodes are taken out. Makes it that much harder for accidental or malicious damage to take out the entire system.
