Have a look at Backyard Nikon ( it may be suitable for your model , donít know )
I use Backyard EOS for my Canon DSLR , IMO the best capture software for Canon DSLRís (you just need a USB2 A to USB mini B cable to link the DSLR to your laptop ( max 5m cable length )
Has frame , focus , capture plan , dither function , planetary mode etc.. and lots more. So easy to use itís ridiculous
I use APT for my cooled OSC and have briefly looked at the DSLR mode which to me looks busy and complicated, much prefer BYEOS for my DSLR , and leave APT for cooled OSC.
