I'm thinking I need a new camera that's a better performer than the current ST-8XE I've got. While it's ok, for Brisbane in summer the cooling is just inadequate (I get about -30 on ambient) and the image noise is not ideal.
I'm using the RC10 with/without the 0.67 FR, so I need something to go with that. What should I be looking at getting that would be ideal? I still want a mono+filters setup since most times I will be doing NB. I'm not adverse to going to larger than 1.25" filters, I'd have to get a filter wheel setup that could take 1.25" + the new size, if that's possible.
I don't have a specific budget as this is in planning and will be something I may need to save for, etc. I'm after ideas of what to look at that will be a significant improvement on my current setup, especially for noise, when the heat is on.
P.S. Mind you, given the cloudy weather conditions in Brisbane over summer, maybe I shouldn't even bother?
