Try M42 (Pentax) lenses with EOS adapter (without optics, $5 - $10 on ebay).. they are pretty good sometimes.
For example, TAIR 11A (Russian, for Zenit cameras) is really sharp in the centre (with a bit of coma in the corners.. you can get it on ebay for ~$100)
