I have connected a coranardo solar max to my eq6 a few times now, im not 100 percent sure but i belive that it is a 1/4 inch whitworth thread which is a very coarse thread. from there i have a few differnt dovetail plates that i have constructed.
Because of the light weight of the scope + webcam it will take very little to withhold it to your eq6 and because pointing accuracy is null and void as if you cant aim it at the sun and track it reasonably well
i think you wont have any problems.!
