You can buy metal tape at various places - Bunnings etc. I actually got my couple rolls at Aldi for like $2.99 each.
VERY adhesive, and backed with aluminium (I think!) You can press it and conform it PERFECTLY to seal gaps etc.
They use a higher grade of this tape in aviation for quick non-structural (I HOPE!) repairs. Ask Col
