There is some experimentation involved to get the absolute picture, but in essence , the longer the exposure the better the firework effect. In order to give yourself this freedom of being successful with a longer exposure, I would suggest setting the camera to ISO 100. Set the camera on a tripod and initially I would recommend an exposure setting of 8 secs.
