I've read that they are not recommended to be used in a space as small as a cabin of a car as even though they are sealed they still have a vent to release pressure build-up due to generation of hydrogen gas (I'd wrongly stated sulphuric acid). But, I am sure they are alright if they are not permanently installed inside but in my case, unfortunately I have a space problem but I appreciate the discussion.
