I had a TE (technically was a golf elbow, but similar problem) a few years ago in my early 40s from too much wood chopping.
I went to the physio who gave me some stretching exercises and I was wearing an elbow brace when doing physical labour. I got plenty rehab massages and treatment from the physio, too.
I haven't had it for nearly two years now. Key is to take it easy, stretch and wear a brace. If you overuse your elbow again, which I did many times, it just keeps coming back or gets worse. It took months to make it better.
Oh, a hydraulic wood splitter is a good idea
