David, mono verses OSC, there's a big debate over this. From my own experience, mono is still a bit better. The modern OSC cameras though are holding their own. My OSC (Svbony SV305 or 290mc clone) is very good but the 183mm is better. The newer 462mc or 485mc may do as well, I don't know. I'll wait until the successor to the 462mc comes out, if the sensor is lower noise.
