Yes a good clear patch of sky just long enough and the clouds came in just as the curtain fell after the awesome show. I particularly liked the constellation of Scorpio embracing the moon- would have a made for a great wide field- I tried with a 50mm lens but only could squeeze half the view in.
Well as you know Mick I haven’t had much of a go lately but hopefully I can get the incentive back to get out again under the stars. Just been so busy with life in general- a good thing.

Thanks Tilleys. Afocal can prove to be very a successful method of capturing the solar system. I’ve tried and although it poses as a tricky and somewhat frustrating technique it still produces fine results.
