NCE 2169 sounds intriguing. I do not ever remember observing that.
Mind U, Summer in the tropics is not a great time for observing. Its often a case of: If the clouds don't get me, the mosquitoes will.
Anyway, thanks for your write up, as these inspire me much more than pictures.

G'Day Bob. Yeah NGC 2022 is interesting, you must give it a go. NGC 2169 is one of those objects that looks artificial when you see it!
