Firstly, You will only pick up bright objects such as the moon and planets.
The field of view through a webcam is very small, so objects can be hard to find. Locate your object with a normal eyepiece, centre it, make sure the scope is tracking properly, and then replace the eyepiece with the webcam. When you have located the object in the webcam you will quite
probably need to put a 2X barlow between the webcam and the focuser
to enlarge the object to a useful size. Locating the object when using a barlow can be quite difficult. All this assumes that the camera's
controls such as gain, contrast, and frame rate etc: are correctly set.
