One more question: is it worth it?
It may be good if you have test images of star fields. so you can decide you really want this lens modified.
I did this mod ( -> EOS) on two lenses: Canon FD 50mm F1.4 (it was absolutely worth the trouble) and one Tamron 200mm F2.8 (was Minolta mount.. the lens is so-so, but my Tair11-A 135mm is much sharper in the centre.. so I am not using it much).
