The bayer matrix has some color filters embedded in the micro lensing. I don't know what the bandpass would be. But color filters have a known bandpass. Some are narrower than others. So I'd say it's easier to control LP with a mono. You can stack filters together if you want (LP + color). Depending on the transmittance you might have to expose longer.
