Hi Marc
This is the 1st time I have used this technique as I noticed that the data had more depth and resilience in certain parts of the image, so I thought I would target those areas with more intensive processing via Layer Masks.
If I applied this globally, I noticed that the "weaker" parts of the image degraded quite quickly and very noticeably.
