Believe it or not I bought a FSQ106ED last September and this is the first opportunity I've had to use it. Most of the delay has been due to the weather but there have been other factors too. Last night was completely clear in Canberra which is pretty amazing given the 200mm we've had in recent days.
On the whole I think this image turned out pretty well given it's the first time I've used this scope. Some minor adjustments for focal plane tilt may be necessary but I'll get to that later.
I'm afraid it's Eta Carinae again.
