Your method is actually easy, I guess we're just trying to understand whats happening and why we're aiming for the optimimum adu and how.
Your earlier post explains this.
It would be great as an illustration if you could post a low res version of your 5mn sub meeting the target adu and another say 15min sub with higher adu and see what the differences are
As for binning, its common to use 2x2 for rgb data and reduce jts exposure by 1/3rd of L.
But the 8300 sensor has a known issue with horizonal bloom and saturates quickly, 2x2 may not yield good results.
