Back in the seventies I had a 8" F/7 newt with a perfect mirror ' mounted on a crude pipe mount that lived in the back yard .
The scope performed like a Big Apo refractor ! fantastic details on the planets & double stars ~ like the pup of Sirius & Antares companion
