Lester, I've tested my 50mm f/1.2L and it is sharp, sharp, sharp. Much, much sharper than my 50mm f/1.4

I think sometimes it's the luck of the draw. I've been reading a few forums where people have had to buy-return-buy-return-buy-return a particular lens before they got a "good" one.

Thanks for your info on what I saw on a review Humayun. I guess it goes to show that a review shouldn't be taken as always the total truth, but just a guide. The best is to see and try yourself.
