I'm pretty impressed now with the Combo Quark it was a bit of a gamble and took a while to work things out. Seems indeed F30 is the sweet spot.
I like that I can now get a full disk image if I use the ES2X with a 0.5 focal reducer on the 174MM camera. Details no where near as good though.
