The optics are clean and clear and the unit is in very good condition. However, in the interests of fairness and full disclosure, there is a very, very fine (hairline) scratch on the body. This obviously is merely cosmetic and has absolutely zero impact on this wonderful Powermate's performance. But there you have it.
