Making sure your DST and Timezone settings are correct

Given the change in DST settings for a fair chunk of the country yesterday, I thought it timely to post a reminder how-to to make sure your timezone and DST settings are correct.

This will help to make sure the date/times of posts are displayed correctly for you, and also to ensure the MoonPhase rise/set times are correct.

1) Ensure you are logged into the forum.
2) Go to your User Control Panel and Edit Options
3) Set your timezone (if not set correctly) and set DST to "automatically detect" (see screenshot)

That should work for the majority of people. If you live in an area where it's not correctly detecting your DST settings, set the DST to "always off" and just change your timezone to suit.

Hope that helps, ask any questions if you're unsure.

Cheers
