I don’t know whether it pertains to any of this particular cases but I have seen instances of what I imagine to be the foam outgassing and damaging optics in cheaper products. It was mostly in regards to camera lens’ and eye pieces so smaller hard cases.
Admittedly I haven’t seen it happen in Australia but as most of these come from China anyway there is a lot of brand cross over.
It’s one of the reasons I’ve always bought Pelican (and a couple of Storm cases), trust the quality of their products.
