I don't know if any folks here have used before but I'd be most curious to get some opinions on this as a suggestion.

Yes I did see the Neewer tripods on Amazon and was tempted, but have committed to the stock tripod which is in transit to me now. If you do go with the Neewer then I’d be interested to hear how you go.
