Following on from SB's post on OSC processing using Affinity, I thought it might be useful to start a general thread on Affinity as it seems to be getting more potential every day as an Astrophotography image processing tool, falling somewhere in the reqion between PS, PI and GIMP, but with, IMHO, a simpler user interface and far lower cost. It also seems to be way more feature-rich than APP.
I just finished downloading a set of free scripts from the UK developer that seem to cover most of the major astro image processing needs. I could envision NINA, DSS and Affinity effectively covering the full gamut of Astrophotography functions, at a very reasonable total cost. YMMV, but it's worth a look.
