Needs to be trimmed, background removal, noise removal, deconvolution, curves and anything else you can think of.

This is your image data and how I usually do processing (after stacking) in a hurry (and otherwise), using Canon DPP (curves only).
I was always thinking there should be more to it, so I am very interested to see how additional processing can improve this image (which is excellent already and close to the limit of equipment capabilities IMO).
