That's not very good Steve - and is well short of (half) what I'd accept as a baseline figure for number of shutter actuations.

LOL! My old Nikon F's each have well in excess of a million actuations each and are still going strong - far in excess of their conservatively "rated" figures. If I were still into film they'd still be used every day. They don't make them like they used to...
Truth be known, the newer Nikon DSLRs are probably no better than the Canons in this regard either.
