I use a 1st generation iOptron Skytracker and only ever been able to achieve no more than 30 to 45 sec subs. Living in Melbourne under bortle 4/5 sky's, Octan's visibility though my finder scope just isn't practical hence probably for the delay in purchasing a StarAdventurer as my results probably wont improve dramatically if at all.
Have you looked into complementing your StarAdventurer with using a QHY Polemaster? There are brackets available here: http://https://www.bintel.com.au/pro...ar-adventurer/
Definitely worth considering if you don't mind carting out a laptop. I just hope this will work with the GTi.
I used a Polemaster for polar aligning though I prefer SharpCap over the Polemaster software. Even with that I am not getting to better than an error of 2 - 4 arc minutes. That’s partly because the altitude adjustment is diabolical in an SA.

I haven’t even taken the polarscope out of the plastic it came in. Useless for the Southern Hemisphere
