I’ve tried a few planetariums ( including the old cardboard wheels ) Cartes du Ceil and others etc...
IMOH Stellarium has the best view port of the sky and endless useful tools plus it is extremely well supported and updated internationally, been using it since 2016
Stellarium was updated in late 2019 as Ascom supported so that worked perfectly for my telescope control, I don’t have to use 3rd party unsupported software like Stellarium Scope anymore as an inter connection driver for EQMOD
Stellarium is beautiful software as it covers both observer and imager
