Try and buy a 10mm eye piece to observe Saturn and Jupiter over the next month or so , planetary filters work well too

Forgot to mention, you can use the 10mm eye piece for observing DSO’s as well
Also the best time to view the moon is first quarter and last quarter near the terminator ( shadow line ) which will provide great detail of craters and mountains etc...
Full moons or near full moons are too bright to observe and don’t provide any contrast and therefore detail
