Show me your DSLR noise and amp glow
Now that I have camera number 3 I am ever more curious what other DSLR cameras are like, or compare to the ones I have.
If I could be so bold to ask a big favour to those with various DSLR cameras to do a comparison for me by posting pics of your amp glow? To keep things equal I need a 10 minute dark frame at ISO 1600 at 22C or close to it. No pre processing other than to convert to jpeg. The reason I need these settings is to show the noise without stretching.
Here's mine. The old Nikon D70s is pretty bad. Even at 1 minute it glows and is noisy. The Pentax K-x is much better and more evenly distributed. The Pentax K-5 glows brighter than the K-x at the bottom right but less at the top left.
I'd really like to see what an 1100D looks like if any 1100 D owners can oblige.
