Cool Total Lunar Eclipse 4-5th April 2015

Thought I'd chip in with my take on the eclipse
In Auckland we had some thin clouds during the early stages, but they cleared later and totality was a sight to behold!

Here is my final processed image, taken at maximum eclipse. The Lunar north pole area was still significantly brighter than the rest, just barely entering the full shadow of the Earth. As a result, a spectacular range of blue and red hues were present across the entire Earth-facing hemisphere. I think this made it one of the prettiest Lunar eclipses I have witnessed.
Despite being located in the Southern hemisphere I decided to orient the image with North at the top as I found this view to give a more natural and aesthetically pleasing look.
